    8th Graders Dominate PreACT

Monte Cassino is proud to announce that 81% of last year's 8th graders were recognized as PreACT Rising Stars. The PreACT exam provides a preview of the ACT test experience, along with a highly reliable prediction of how students might perform in the future on the ACT. The PreACT Rising Stars program is an initiative that honors students who scored in the top half of all U.S. students who took the PreACT 8/9 Assessment during the 2024-2025 academic year. Three award categories were established in the program’s inaugural year: Distinguished Scholars (representing the top 5% of student scores), Rising Scholars (the next 10% of student scores), and Early Scholars (the next 35% of student scores). One in three of our 8th graders placed in the top 15% in the country.
