Sixth Grade Raises Over $12,000 for Angel Tree

Monte Cassino School, a private PK-8 Catholic school in Tulsa is proud to announce their sixth grade has raised over $12,000 for the Salvation Army Angel Tree. In September, 51 sixth graders were tasked with performing acts of service and odd jobs to raise money for the Angel Tree.  Students raked leaves, had bake sales, hosted face-painting booths at events, sold hand-made goods, performed singing birthday grams and other tasks and raised over $12,000 through the duration of the three-month project.  In December, the students and their chaperones will visit Woodland Hills Mall where they will select angels and purchase gifts for them. In addition to emphasizing the importance of giving to those in need, students learn how to budget, prioritize, manage time and work as a team. This project is a long-standing Monte Cassino tradition.
