Thank you for supporting the Annual Fund.

What is Annual Fund?

The Annual Fund supports everything we do at Monte Cassino. It gives us the opportunity to continue to enhance our programs and keep our historic campus shipshape. Tuition covers 90% percent of the operating budget. The Annual Fund fills the 10% gap that allows us to maintain moderate tuition increases and supports all the programming and initiatives listed below.

Each year, donations from our community provide the financial flexibility to enhance our programs and set the course for an awesome educational experience. The Annual Fund is a critical component of our operating budget, but the impact of your donation does not end there.

Your participation shows corporations, foundations and potential major donors that our community is committed to and values Monte Cassino. This is where 20 to 100 comes in.

What is 20 to 100?

The goal of the 20 to 100 Annual Fund Campaign is to spend 20 days raising awareness about the Annual Fund and to ask our community to help us get to 100% family giving to the Annual Fund. This helps us when we are seeking funding from outside sources such as grants and foundations. Thanks to your generous support, last year we reached 58% which nearly tripled our previous family giving percentage. We have until June 30th to reach 100% so it is not too late to give or pledge to help increase our family giving percentage.

Gifts to the Annual Fund are the foundation of Monte Cassino’s fundraising and make an immediate and important impact on our campus and our students.

Funding the Gap

As illustrated in the graph to the right, tuition covers approximately 90% percent of the operating budget. The Annual Fund Drive and revenue from fundraising events fills the 10% gap, allowing the school to maintain moderate tuition increases and supports. Annual fund gifts are "mission-driven" which means people give to the Annual Fund because they are passionate about the school's mission - which is to educate your students in an innovative, loving environment.
Donations to Annual Fund support:

  • Extensive libraries in each building – ECLC, Elementary School and Middle School
  • Enrichment opportunities such as field trips and guest speakers
  • Facility maintenance and upgrades
  • Foreign language curriculum
  • Music and arts programs
  • Science labs and programs
  • Special programs including robotics, coding, and other elective offerings
  • Sports and physical education
  • Teacher professional development
  • Technology upgrades
    • Kristen and Kevin Rice

There is so much that goes into making MC what it is - from the teachers, to the staff, and to the families. We support the Annual Fund because it is necessary to uphold the standards we have come to expect from Monte Cassino.  It's our humble way of giving back to the community that means so much to us.
