Monte Cassino is owned and operated by the Benedictine Sisters of Saint Joseph Monastery.

Head of School:

Kevin Smith is the Head of School for Monte Cassino beginning with the 2016-17 school year.  Kevin comes to Monte Cassino from Chicago, Illinois as director from another school.  Kevin holds a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education and Biology from the University of Dayton and a Master of Education degree from Bowling Green State University.  He is married to Maria Pace Smith and they have two young children, T.J. (4) and Maggie (2). Kevin is an active athlete who loves running, cycling, mountain biking, skiing, and golf, as well as reading, movies and theatre. He describes himself as the family “chef” and eternal optimist.

Kevin says: "My love for teaching and independent Catholic schools was ignited at the University of Dayton (UD) in the early 1980's where I was pursuing undergraduate degrees in biology and physical education with an eye to being a sports medicine physician.  I had the good fortune of enrolling in Dr. O'Neil's Child and Adolescent Development class and "Brother Jerry" saw the educator in me and nurtured and inspired me on the career path I have followed for the past thirty years."  

The Principals:

Vicky Adams is the principal of the first through fourth grades.  Vicky Adams graduated from the University of Kansas with her B.S. and M.S. Ed. and has been involved in education in Tulsa for the last 16 years. 

Vicky’s areas of expertise include curriculum and teacher development, gifted and talented coordination and reading and writing instruction.

Barbara Burke is the principal of students within the ECLC, which spans from three-year-olds to kindergarten students.  Barbara graduated from The University of Tulsa with her B.S. and received her M.S. Ed. from Oklahoma State University.  Barbara has fifteen years of teaching experience within the Tulsa area and has served as a principal or mentor for over a decade.

Barbara ensures that the ECLC remains developmentally appropriate yet academically rigorous for all students.

Janou Farrell is the principal of students for the Monte Cassino Middle School, which spans 5th-8th grades.  Janou graduated from Oral Roberts University with her B.S. and received her M.S. Ed. from Oklahoma State University.  Janou has twelve years of teaching experience within the Tulsa area.


Jeremy Ford is the Director of Athletics for Monte Cassino School.  Jeremy served as Assistant Athletic Director for two years before becoming the new AD in 2015.


Finance and Operations:
Ryan McDaniel joined Monte Cassino as the Director of Finance and Operations in 2013. Ryan graduated from Benedictine College (Atchison, Kansas) with a B.A. in Business Administration and Spanish. Ryan has a background in banking prior to successfully leading the business operations of Bishop Ward High School in Kansas City, KS. Ryan is the proud father of two daughters and one son.


Ryan oversees the daily operations and financial considerations of Monte Cassino. 


Institutional Advancement:
Sandy Willmann serves as the Director of Institutional Advancement. Between 1991 and 2007, she served in various positions at The University of Tulsa, most recently as Senior Director of Alumni and Donor Relations. Following that, she operated her own business providing services to non-profits in the areas of board development, event planning, fundraising, and marketing. Sandy attended The University of Tulsa.

Sandy oversees the admission, alumni and marketing areas at Monte Cassino.
